Dentoid Blogroll (other dental blogs I like)

The Madow Group – You may know the crazy Madow Brothers, Richard and David.  They put on the very popular “TBSE – The Best Seminar Ever.”  Practice management and marketing are their passions.  They have thousands of fans in the dental profession… for good reason.

———————————–

Warren Bobinski – the DMD repWarren is a sales rep for Henry Schein in the great Province of Saskatchewan in Canada.  Warren is much more than a sales rep.  Besides knowing dental products inside and out, he has a lot of insights on life in general.  He’s a “best kept secret” in the dental world that I predict will play a larger role in the future.

———————————–

Unlock the PPO – Sandi Hudson is a dental insurance wizard who knows the ropes like nobody else.  Check out her blog to keep up with the latest changes, which are coming fast and furious these days.  Then check out the rest of her website.  If you’re considering whether to join plans, drop plans, or how to best deal with insurance issues, you’d do well to take advantage of her vast expertise.

———————————–

Dental Buzz – Registered Dental Hygienists, Trish Walraven and Eva Watson, pontificate about all things dental.  The writing style is humorous, yet insightful.  Check it out.  Good stuff, I promise!

———————————–

Larry Emmot on Technology – Larry has been an established expert on dental technology for a long time.  Visit his blog and subscribe!

———————————–

Gary Takacs Thriving Dentist Show – Gary has been writing on dental practice management for as long as I can remember.  He’s worth reading!  Go now!

———————————–

The Blogging Dentist – Dr. Alan Mead writes about… whatever he feels like… and it’s always good!  Check it out.  Plus, he’s funny!

Self-defense, Personal Security, Safety

Civilian Defender – This is a great blog by my friend and colleague, Dr. Sherman House.  The REAL “Dr. House!”  Sherman has worked as an armed courier, firearms instructor, and EMT before he became a dentist.  He’s a modern day “Renaissance” man who knows his shit!  He describes his blog as, “A pragmatic approach to vehicular, home and personal self-defense for everyday people.”  It’s worth noting that despite the name of his blog, it’s not just about revolvers.  Check it out!

National Rifle Association – I’m a “Life” member, and I think everyone (who values their Constitutional rights) should be a member.  The NRA fights the good fight for our Rights and does it at a bargain price (per member).  We’ve had a lot of victories in support of our Rights in the last few years, despite very strong efforts to deprive us of those Rights.  Please consider joining!

The Second Amendment Foundation – I’m also a member of this important organization.  They are the “spec ops” of protecting the Second Amendment from infringement by the government.  Their own mission statement:  The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is dedicated to promoting a better understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms. To that end, we carry on many educational and legal action programs designed to better inform the public about the gun control debate.

The Truth About Guns – This is a fantastic blog with a number of very talented contributing writers.  It’s updated daily with articles relating to current events in the U.S. and around the world.  Really, really good stuff.  Highly recommended to those who have an interest in the 2nd Amendment, your natural right to self-defense, and the technical aspects of guns and shooting for sport.

Hickok45 Youtube Channel – Hickok45 is a highly respected and nearly legendary Youtube star in the gun community.  His prolific publishing of instructive (and frequently entertaining) gun videos has earned him a lot of subscribers, myself included.  Check him out, and you’ll see why he’s so popular with tens of millions of video views.

The Cornered Cat – This is a very good website about armed self-defense that is geared towards women and moms.  While it is intended for women, I dare say that there is a lot of excellent information that men would do well to understand, as well.  This comprehensive website also includes gun safety guidelines for a typical family home.  Check it out.

Handgun Lawswww.Handgunlaw.us is another excellent online resource.  It offers detailed documentation of the gun laws of every state in the U.S.  Whether you just need an easy-to-understand synopsis of your own state’s laws, or you plan on traveling to other states and want to know the nuances of their laws, this website has all that and more.  For those who believe in the natural right of armed self-defense, this website deserves to be bookmarked in your browser.

Fox Labs International – For the best pepper spray on the market.  Good products.  Great service.
