Image Copyright Protection

The mustache is fake. I’m playing a little joke on Chip. 🙂

My friend, photographer extraordinaire, and Photoshop savant, Chip Payet just posted a great article on his Digital Dental Photography blog about image copyright protection.  He saw my article, Major Online Referral Service Swipes My Photo! and wrote this article in response and support.

Thanks and AWESOME JOB, Chip!

Click on the link below to read Chip’s article, hot off the presses!  Also stay tuned to his blog, as he will be writing a follow-up article on Watermarking.

  1. Mike – I guess you missed the FB post in which I asked if you’d add a Fedora hat – that would REALLY look good on me with the mustache. 😉 Sadly, I couldn’t pull off a mustache like that if I tried for the rest of my life. Oh well.

Thank you for the plug; I’m hoping to have Part 2 of the series (planning on 3 parts in total) ready within a few more days.

In the meantime, here’s another helpful tidbit for you and other WordPress users – a great plugin that disables the “Right Click and Save-As” Context Menu. Just one more small way to make it harder for people to steal your work:

Sadly, it’s impossible to make our work 100% safe online, but by using as many easy, quick tools to make it more difficult, we can “encourage” thieves to move along to others instead of ours.

Haha… I thought that style of mustache suited you! 😉 Keep me posted on the next article! Thanks!
